What is Little Hands & Paws?
Little Hands & Paws is a fun and educational role-play experience where children learn about animal care through hands-on vet adventures. Children dress up as junior vets, care for soft toy animal patients and take part in exciting learning activities.
How many children can come to the party?
Recommended party size of 8-12 children, but we try to be as flexible as possible where we can, so please contact us to discuss your own requirements.
How much does it cost?
The price is £250 for a party of up to 12 children that typically lasts 90-120 minutes long.
What age is it suitable for?
Our activities are designed for children aged 4 to 11 years old. Activities are adapted to suit different age groups and abilities.
Do children work with real animals?
No. Our role-play sessions use soft toy animal patients, making the experience safe, inclusive and enjoyable for all children.
What equipment do children use?
Children use a mixture of toy and real veterinary-style equipment, including stethoscopes, thermometers, microchip scanners, oxygen monitoring equipment, patient charts and veterinary role-play resources.
Is it educational?
Yes. Children learn about animal welfare, kindness, responsibility, communication, teamwork and problem-solving while having fun through imaginative play.
Do children receive a certificate?
Yes. Every child receives a Junior Vet Certificate to celebrate their achievements.
Are your activities suitable for children with additional needs?
We aim to make our activities accessible and inclusive. Please contact us before booking so we can discuss any specific requirements.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable clothing suitable for active play. Junior vet coats and role-play equipment are provided.
How long do sessions last?
Party sessions typically last 90 to 120 minutes. School workshops and holiday club sessions vary depending on the programme selected.
Are parents required to stay?
Party requirements vary depending on the venue and age group. Details will be provided when booking.
Are toys and equipment cleaned?
Yes. The health, safety and wellbeing of children is extremely important to us.
All of our toys, role-play equipment and frequently touched items are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between sessions using Clinell disinfectant wipes. We regularly inspect our equipment to ensure it remains clean, safe and in excellent condition for every child to enjoy.

We can deliver sessions to individual classes, year groups or larger school groups depending on the venue and timetable.
What space is required?
A classroom, hall or similar indoor space is usually sufficient. We bring the equipment and resources.
Are staff required to stay during sessions?
Yes. School staff remain responsible for pupils throughout the workshop.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Public Liability Insurance documentation is available upon request.
Can workshops be tailored to our school?
Absolutely. We can adapt sessions to suit age groups, learning objectives and special event days.
